
The Asian American Association of Greater Stony Brook (AAAGSB) is seeking artworks that touch the theme of the Lunar New Year and/or the Year of Ox. With the ending of the unprecedented Year of Mouse, we are looking forward to a promising Year of Ox. Having an honest nature, Oxen are known for diligence, reliability, strength and determination. The theme of the Year of Ox and/or the Lunar New Year is a way for us to celebrate the coming New Year. Have fun with the theme and surprise us with your interpretation!

All accepted artwork will be exhibited online at https://www.aaagsb.org
ELIGIBILITY
Open to all media, 2d or 3d, any interpretation of the theme. Submissions are welcome in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and mixed media. Young artists, emerging artists and anyone with an interest in the theme are welcome to submit. New York State resident only.
AWARD
The accepted artworks will be organized to three groups: Pre-K to 6 Grade, 7 Grade to 12 Grade and adult. Top three winners will be awarded a $50 Amazon gift card and an award certificate.
JURY
Juried by a committee of AAAGSB and Prof. Han Qin of Department of Art, Stony Brook University.
