Call for Artist | The Push Online Exhibition

The Push is seeking visual arts that relate to the theme of Asian Identity or anti-AAPI violence. No matter where you come from, who you are, what your level of skill set is, as long as the artwork is a sincere reaction to the anti-AAPI Violence, we will showcase your art in our social media platforms. There will be a very mild curation to the works entered, and all artworks are eligible for a juried selection for future physical shows.

Please use the form below to send up to 5 jpegs no longer than 2000px on the longest side, and at 72dpi. The images should be less than 10MB each. If your image(s) are chosen, we will be in contact for higher resolution files.

It is not required but highly recommended for the artist to write a short artist statement/bio. There will be a Q&A session for a selected group of artists.

ABOUT

The Push was founded in 2021, born out of urgency during this desperate time for AAPI(Asian American Pacific Islander) groups. The idea behind the name was sparked in response to the widely surfaced footage of Asian seniors being brutally pushed to the ground. This is a time when our community is being pushed to the edge of society. This isn’t the first time injustice has been committed against the AAPI community, but our group aims to help tackle this issue through art.
