Li Tang Gallery is excited to announce an open call for experienced and innovative curators to curate an upcoming online exhibition. This opportunity invites curators to explore their curatorial vision and bring it to life in a virtual space, showcasing a diverse range of contemporary art.

At Li Tang Gallery, we believe in the power of curatorial expertise to shape meaningful artistic narratives and engage audiences in unique ways. We are seeking curators who can demonstrate a strong understanding of contemporary art trends and possess a keen eye for selecting exceptional artworks that resonate with the theme. The online group exhibition will be extensively promoted on Li Tang Gallery’s website, social media platforms, and through press coverage in both the United States and China.

Submission Details

  1. Eligibility: Curators based in the US are invited to submit their curatorial proposals for consideration.
  2. Curatorial Vision: We encourage curators to propose innovative and thought-provoking concepts that align with Li Tang Gallery’s vision and values. Your curatorial vision should reflect a fresh perspective, challenge conventions, and inspire meaningful connections between artworks and viewers.
  3. Artistic Focus: While there are no restrictions on the artistic mediums or themes, we encourage proposals that embrace diverse perspectives and showcase emerging and established artists.
  4. Virtual Exhibition Format: The selected curators will curate an online exhibition that will be showcased on Li Tang Gallery’s website. It is essential to consider the virtual space and how to effectively present the selected artworks to create an immersive and engaging experience for the online audience.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Curatorial Proposal: Please provide a detailed curatorial proposal outlining your concept, theme, and vision for the online exhibition. Include information about the artistic focus, intended narrative, and any specific criteria for artwork selection (up to 500 words).
  2. Curatorial Experience: Provide a current CV or resume highlighting your experience as a curator. Share your curatorial background, including any relevant projects, exhibitions, or collaborations you have curated in the past.
  3. Artist Selection: Briefly outline your approach to selecting artists and artworks for the exhibition, including any criteria or considerations you will employ.
  4. Portfolio website (if applicable): Please include a portfolio showcasing your previous curatorial projects, including images, descriptions, and any relevant documentation (e.g., exhibition catalogs, reviews, or articles).
